I bought this scanner to replace an older Canon stand alone scanner that just stopped working one day. After trying in vain to find a new driver for the old scanner, I read the reviews here on Amazon and bought this unit. It was so cheap I figured what the heck.

And I'm glad I did. I had it set up in a matter of minutes. The scanner works fairly fast and automatically straightens and frames the picture for you. If you want the picture to open up in Photoshop, you can set it for that as well. It works great. -- It Works

I'm sure it could be faster and have more bells and whistles, but I was looking for a basic cheap scanner that would scan things, and that's what I got.

Windows 7 installation was pretty straightforward. Note that I had to actually follow the directions it came with, and install the driver from the CD, and not use the driver Windows found for me. -- Great for the price
